Introduction  

Situated in the historic market town of Ashby de la Zouch in North West Leicestershire, Ashby Hastings is one of the oldest cricket clubs in the Midlands, dating back prior to 1831. Hastings members enjoy playing on one of the finest grounds in the region, located in the centre of Ashby, the Bath Grounds host Leicestershire CCC 2nd XI matches each year.

An ECB Focus Club who hold Clubmark accreditation, Hastings run three Saturday League sides, all of whom play in the Everards Leicestershire County Cricket League, (the highest level of club cricket available in Leicestershire). The club also run a Midweek XI who play in the Loughborough Cricket Association League and a Sunday XI who play friendly cricket. The club's Junior Section includes sides at Under 17, Under 15, Under 13, Under 11 and Under 10 age groups.

The club boasts some of the best practice facilities in the area, having recently installed a state of the art two bay net facility. Senior training sessions during the season take place from 5:30pm on Tuesday and Thursday evenings on the Bath Grounds. Junior coaching sessions for all age groups take place throughout weekday evenings. For more information on Junior Cricket please visit the Junior Section page where you will find all coaching and match day details. Senior pre season "Winter Net" sessions run between February and the start of the new season every year, and take place at the ECB National Academy in Loughborough. There are also sessions held at Ashby School sports hall for both seniors and juniors. See the News section for details of these sessions as they are confirmed.

Ashby Hastings are always on the lookout for new players of all abilities, each year we recruit an overseas player to play in our 1st XI. Our clubhouse has a well stocked bar which is open to members and non members alike. Our bar licence means that we are an ideal place for you and your family to come and have a drink, and if the sun shines we have the best beer garden in town, overlooking the lovely Bath Grounds.
